Ford Aeromax Tamiya: new paint

I’ve been unsatisfied by my own paint for a long time as it wasn’t even and had many imperfections. After long hesitations I finally decided to dissolve it using nitromethane model fuel. It was a long and delicate job but this solvent worked fine as it didn’t harm the truck’s body and didn’t require me to do any sanding. The last fuel and paint residues were washed off with degreasing soap and hot water.

The new paint was made at the Honda Garage in Liège, it’s “Civic” dark red water paint, it’s though and doesn’t harm the truck’s plastic body.
I haven’t had any problem with this paint yet so this kind of painting seems to be the best solution, if realized at a reasonable price.
